The journey to NISE-Stim treatment begins with an initial phone consultation.
What to Expect:
- Schedule a 30-minute video session with Gerti Motavalli via Zoom, WhatsApp, or FaceTime.
- Share three short videos of your child for evaluation.
- Gerti will assess whether your child is a good candidate for NISE-Stim/spinal stimulation.
- Receive personalized feedback on next steps and guidance on how to begin treatment.

This consultation is the first step toward determining the most suitable treatment options for your child.
Main Options for NISE-Stim Treatment After Initial Consultation
After the initial consultation, you can proceed with NISE-Stim treatment through the following options:
1. Currently on hold until Gerti finds a new clinic space, expected summer 2025:
In-Person Therapy with Gerti Motavalli
- Location: Fernandina Beach, Florida
- Conveniently located near Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and a 2.5-hour drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO).
What to Expect:
- Comprehensive Evaluation: Assessment of muscle function and sensation.
- Personalized Program: Tailored spinal stimulation plan.
- Home Program Training: Detailed guidance for implementing the program at home.
- Documentation: Written summary of test results and therapy instructions.
Costs:
- Initial 2-Hour Session: $300 (includes testing and a detailed summary).
- Second Day:
- $300 for a 2-hour session
- $150 for a 1-hour session (for babies requiring less time).
Additional Benefit:
After attending in-person therapy, your child’s PT, OT, or other supporting therapist is eligible for the discounted 4-hour NISE-Stim training course at $50 (originally $250).
2. Online Therapy Sessions
Eligibility:
- Families must reside in or be visiting Florida or Missouri during the time of treatment, as licensing requires the patient to be physically present in these states.
What to Expect:
- Initial Session (90-120 minutes): $190
- Includes testing of muscle function and sensation.
- Follow-Up Sessions (45-60 minutes): $95
- Training on e-stim unit setup and use, with guidance for daily implementation (start with 15 minutes and increase up to 60 minutes).
- Collaboration with your child’s therapists is encouraged.
3. Professional Training for Your Child’s Therapist or Medical Practitioner
Your PT, OT, DO, MD, or Chiropractor can be trained to administer spinal stimulation through a 4-hour recorded webinar course.
What’s Included:
- Access to the recorded course via Zoom.
- PowerPoint presentations.
- Detailed written instructions for electrical stimulation, testing muscle-nerve connections, and administering therapy.
- YouTube demonstrations for e-stim unit setup.
Cost:
- Discounted rate: $50 for supporting therapists (after in-person therapy).
- Standard rate: $250 for other professionals.
4. For Families Outside the USA
If you live outside the USA, your treatment options will be discussed during the initial consultation.
